A translation guide (German-English) was compiled to facilitate translations by members of the university. The guide contains translations of key terms used in university administration in general as well as terms used in the specific context of Freie Universität. The guide is intended as a general reference for written materials, whether in print or online.

The translations are based on American English. Variants are indicated in the list because a term can often have more than one translation, depending on the context.
